Acupuncture

Acupuncture is both preventative and curative in nature.  It entails inserting fine
pre-sterilized stainless steel needles into various acupuncture points on the body.  These
points lie on meridians where Qi (pronounced chee) or vital energy flows throughout the
body.  When the flow of qi becomes blocked or is deficient we see symptoms of disease.
Once the correct points are stimulated the smooth flow of qi is restored and the body is
once again in a state of health and balance.

Herbal Medicine

Chinese herbal medicine can be used in conjunction with acupuncture treatments or as an effective treatment of its
own.  Like acupuncture, herbs work to restore health by facilitating the smooth, balanced flow of qi.  Herbs are
dispensed as teas, powders, tinctures and or pills.  For the most part the herbs consist of plant products such as
flowers, seeds, leaves, bark and roots.  Occasionally animal products are called for so please inform your practitioner
if this is a problem.

Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy can be used in conjunction with an acupuncture treatment or essential oils can be used instead of
needles.  Only the highest quality essential oils are used.  They are either diffused into the air to be inhaled, or they are
put directly onto acupuncture points where they are absorbed by the skin.  Custom aromatherapy blends can also be
purchased for home use such as therapeutic baths, self massage or steam inhalation. We will also be offering signature
aromatherapy lines of bath and body products in the near future.
